Inspection was the best decision my fiancé and I made to truly get a in-depth idea of what we were getting ourselves into as first time home buyers. This experience was extraordinary. We had a 9am appointment to have a pre-purchase inspection on a house. We showed up... about 10 minutes early and Nathan was already up on the roof! He got there early and started promptly even in the rain! Throughout the inspection, Nathan took the time to show us what would eventually need attention and what needed to be addressed before we would move in. He gave us an honest assessment of the condition of the property and left no stone unturned. After the inspection we had a thorough report with photos and results. It was put together professionally and was easy to submit to the seller for our punch list. The report was ready before the close of business on the same day. Nathan has been available for questions regarding the inspection and offered to reinspect after work was done to ensure it was done properly. I’m always pleased to recommend excellent service and happy to support a vet-owned and operated business! I’d recommend Highland to anyone needing a home inspection done.read more

Nathan was recommended as a home inspector to myself and my significant other from our realtor, who is also a good... friend. We had never gone through the home buying process and were hoping to find trustworthy and experienced professionals along the way to guide us. Nathan was fantastic! He was very thorough with his inspection and took his time explaining all of his findings and what fixes would be needed more immediately versus down the road and if those fixes would need a professional or something we could do ourselves. He was extremely friendly and professional and prompt with his inspection report. Even after purchasing the house and moving in, we had an electrical question come up, and Nathan came over to take a look at the situation so he could recommend whether or not we’d need an electrician or if it was something we could do ourselves. I highly encourage using Highland Home Inspection if you’re in the process of buying a new house!read more

I have known Nathan in a different line of work for a number of years, know him as a man of integrity. I found that... he has brought the same things to his home inspection business that he did to our mutual employer: He is conscientious, punctual and thorough-- and knows his stuff. I needed an appraisal for something other than a sale, but he came to us as seriously as if we were selling. He made all kinds of notes and gave us pictures of what he was talking about as part of our report. And he gave us an idea of things that could be done to improve the place as well as estimates of reasonable costs. I like his style!read more

Nathan was extremely thorough when doing the home inspection for my boyfriend and I. He was very open to any questions... we had and providing detailed answers. Nathan also provided a lot of helpful tips and advice about taking care of the home. He had no problem being honest about his findings and was very realistic. We couldn't have hoped for a more diligent inspector and are extremely pleased with his services. Definitely will be using Nathan in the future. Highly recommended!read more
